I did my own version of this image trickery in traditional with a 17 year old, aspiring to be a make-up artist.
Her make-up was beautiful and elegant, and her hair fell naturally around her face.
I asked her to look deeply into the camera, like Stezakers model.
I was very happy with my idealised image- it was a modern version of Stezakers- I was influenced to do this because I recently visited the National Art Gallery where 'Seduced by Art' was on exhibition- which is basically modern photographers using old photographers work in aspiration of their own.
